Artist Statement

I’m an explorer of memories, dreams and emotions, expressed through color, texture, line and shape in abstract paintings.

 

Acrylic paint may veil old book fragments, torn bits of Asian paper and other found papers embedded within the layers. Graphite, colored

pencils, sandpaper, stencils, crayons and spray paint add their own  marks.

 

I find the joy of discovery through each mark and brush stroke in the process of adding to and subtracting from each layer. The love of painting and experimentation drives my creativity.
